ATL was stacking the box daring the Rams to pass. They were focused on not letting Gurley beat them, selling out to stop him. The problem was McVay was too conservative. He locked up in his rookie playoff performance. And Goff had understandable early jitters, as the Falcons expected. Take away Goffs security blanket, Gurley, and hope Goff and McVay would not be up to the task. And they planned correctly.
Who knows what teams will be up or down next year. All I can focus on is our team getting better.
