I understand this is an emotional topic.

But here it is, trying to stay within what I think are the guidelines: heck no. LA has no home advantage and as Vinny B has said on more than one occasion, the Rams are unlikely to have a home field advantage in the next few years if ever.

Why? Because when the Rams abandoned LA some years ago, along with the influx to LA of hundreds of thousands (millions?) of people from other states where they supported other NFL teams, LA residents and Rams fans in many (most?) cases took up rooting for another team or kept rooting for the team of the state where they left. They've not shifted back.

One could argue that LA has so much to do there, and there are other more established sports teams like the Lakers and Dodgers, that it is hard to re-establish a revived Rams fan base. Really? From about 15 million people the Rams can't draw a full stadium of mostly Rams fans?

Before the Rams moved back to LA, business people, football followers, sports media and marketing experts were divided on whether or not LA could/would really support an NFL team. Now there's 2. And the other one isn't faring any better.

We need to think of LA as more of the headquarters of the football operations of the Rams and the place nearest to where the players reside, and less as "the home field" if we want to be pragmatic and intellectually hones about it.

I truly hope this changes as this current Rams team deserves the boisterous support of the local fans.

Oddly, if the Rams can get by the Falcons at "home" this Saturday (I think they can and will), they'll play on the road the rest of the way and that is very probably an advantage for the Rams.
