Well I told Sue (aka Ramgirl13) that she needs to start posting on this board instead of just "lurking" but I think she is intimidated by some people on here.
Sue and I go to the same dentist and I recently ran in to her (3 times) and each time she was in a Ram t shirt which is HIGHLY unusual outside of my house here in western PA.
Anyhow, she knows her Ram stuff from A to Z and just needs a little encouragement to start posting I believe and Mama though the only female I know of who posts here, is also THE most intelligent person on this board so I figure she may be able to nudge Sue on to her keyboard and out of the lurking stage!
Heck she already made it past the real scary part of getting grump-azz Shaky to re-activate her account!!!!!
I don't know Ramgirl13 so I'm not sure exactly what to say other than this:
I used to be intimidated by some on this board because I just can NOT talk (or sometimes even comprehend) X's and O's and all the technical aspects of football. I am in awe of those who can. I've accepted that there are some things about the game that will remain forever beyond my ability to understand. But you know what? It's ok, because I don't have to know everything. I'm a Rams fan who loves football!! So there!! Besides, I contribute here in other ways.
The fact that I'm a woman Is not a hindrance, at least not for me. If I feel I have something to say, then I say it. At the same time, I've learned there are times when the best response is no response. I have to say that this board has come a long way from the "good ol' boys club" it was when I first joined about 12 yrs ago. The admins have done an excellent job in "keeping it classy", which I appreciate.
Not everyone here likes me. And that's ok, too. It works both ways. Even so, it's been my delight and privilege to have gotten to know so many wonderful people, both here on The Herd and in person over the years... and to have let them get to know me. Since the Rams are no longer in St Louis, The Herd is about as close as I can get these days so I'm thankful they're here and that I'm a part of it.
