Come early and drive to downtown L.A. Near Macy's is a lot for $8 all day. Across the street is the Metro which will take you to the Coliseum for pennies. Coming back your likely to be standing up in the Metro since everyone gets out at the same time-for the most part. Good restaurants all around downtown.
