I see no reason for pessimism at all.

Mind you, I don’t feel cocky about this game, either.

But I am cautiously optimistic.

We are the better team.
We are at least as well coached.
We are far healthier.
We are a hungry team with payback on our mind.
We are certainly motivated by the possibility of a division crown and playoffs.

I see a lot of ingredients there for success this Sunday.

Why the gloom?

It's just a gut feeling. I'll refrain from saying more, but I'm glad you guys are keeping the flame of optimism alive. You are all terrific fans and, I'm sure, equally beautiful people.

Classical, count me among those who are optimistic for Sunday. Not enough attention has been paid to how decimated the Seahawks are this week.

We all know that Sherman, Chancellor, and Avril are out.

But in addition, Bobby Wagner and KJ Wright are iffy at best for Sunday. Wright still has not practiced after his concussion, and Wagner re-aggravated his hamstring.

Furthermore, players who were OUT for Thurs practice include LT Duane Brown, TE Jimmy Graham, S Earl Bennett, and DE Michael Bennett.

I've been lurking on some Seahawk boards this week, and there are plenty of doom-and-gloom posts like, "If Wagner and Wright are out we have no chance."
