Yes, and also that things like just 40 times at the combine are much less indicative of future success. I think in this scheme it's far more about ability to gain separation (so things like the 3-cone drill and 20-yard shuttle at the combine tell you
much more) and hands.
As you said, brains (can he grasp the offense quickly?), work ethic, etc. all really matter.
