Thats how I react to it.
And I do it a lot before a big game. It takes the pressure off ME.
I get nervous before these games. I have no idea how anyone else gets.
There is nothing more to read into it than that.
I feel pressure no matter what.
And it comes out in how I react to the game in progress, which is very emotional.
BUT I also reserve space in my head for later, after the game, when I revert to being analytical.
And to me, win or lose, they are ahead of schedule. A win may prove something but I doubt even that, since to me the issue is how developed they are. They could win and still be in year 1 of a complete turnaround. And conversely a loss won't mean they backslid or regressed or weren't really talented.
That's just all analytically true, IMO. If nothing else that's what you get (again IMO) with a 1st year head coach and a 2nd year qb.
