Les, not sure if you ever attended games in the Coliseum in the 70s. I did and I can tell you from experience that there have always been opposing fans in the stadium during Rams games.
San Diego at Jack Murphy aka Qualcom was the same way. You go to a Dodgers or Angels game and you see fans of the visiting team. Its just the way it is.
Heck, we've had guys from this board attend games all over the country so its not like it is something unique to SoCal / LA that visiting teams fans show up.
It is a myth in most NFL stadiums that only the fan of the home team attends the game.
