Dropped passes are one of the most deflating events that a football team can have happen. Especially when the pass is for a 3rd down, or a potential TD.
For years just when it looked like the Rams would make a game of it, some butter fingered Receiver would let a nicely thrown ball find its way to the turf. It deflates everyone but the opposition.
And yet, while dropped passes can visibly affect struggling teams, better teams seem to be able to shake it off and go right back to work.
No matter. It's no coincidence that the Rams have so many wins and so few dropped passes. Those catches help sustain not just drives, but also positive emotional energy.
