Eternal Ram, I think Boise Ram is incorrect.
If 3 teams are tied, and one team has beaten BOTH of the other teams, then that victorious team wins the tiebreaker.
Fascinatingly, ESPN’s “playoff calculator” is WRONG on this as well!
But yes, the first tiebreaker is indeed based on common sense— if a team has beaten ALL other teams it is tied with, that victorious team wins the tiebreak.
Problems arise for the Rams if the VIKES are part of a multi-team tiebreak, because the next tiebreaker is conference record, and unfortunately all the Rams losses have been against NFC teams.
EDIT: Here is confirmation that ESPN’s “Playoff Machine” is WRONG. BoiseRam, perhaps you received your inaccurate info from ESPN, but unfortunately the people at ESPN are idiots...
