Stats without context are not very useful.
If Stats was the final word, then Alex Smith ought to be MVP and on his way to the HOF. Hard to do when your team is in a death spiral and in reality your passes are mostly long hand offs.
Looking at the stats for Tyrod Taylor would make you think he is a top tier QB.....until you watch him play within the context of a game. Then you realize that no team is going to go very far with him. Which is why he was benched for a game for a rookie later round pick (who merely threw 5 INTs....in one half!) Which shows you how little confidence the team has in Tyrod.
There were some here (like LA I believe) who actually watched Woods play (I didn't), and said the Rams did well to sign him. Son of gun. Turns out he's a guy you better double team sometimes and he can beat you with speed, hands, moves, routes, short or long, and has excellent RAC. Where was this in Buffalo? He could only do so much in the context of the team and QB and HC.
Now the Woods signing is turning out to be a steal compared to Jeffrey who was essentially just paid almost TWICE as much for about the same results as Woods.
And as for Kenny Britt? Kenny who?
