The issue, as I see it, is general information vs a specific change in play call. If McVay is 'processing' all the available on field information and giving Goff a new playcall this is bad. Legal, as I understand the rules, but very destructive to Goff's development. If McVay is providing reminders, and key points to focus on which then assists Goff in changing a play call then I think it is fine. The more Goff learns how to think from McVay the better. If I was McVay, that is exactly what I would focus on, the why, and not the final result.
I agree with LA though, the guys on that podcast did not understand the idea of what Chris Simms' communicated about this situation. Chris and these guys are talking about different things. Chris is talking about processing all of the variables into a play call, these guys are talking about pointing out variables. Well, I killed it after a few minutes due to boredom.
