...in that going to into the 2001 playoffs many people, myself included, thought 5 of the 6 best teams in the league were in the NFC (Rams, Eagles, Packers, 49ers, Bears). And the 6th team was Pittsburgh, not New England.
New England could have genuinely started out 1-5 this year. They were not good and very lucky to beat Houston, Tampa and the Jets. But in the 5 games since they've been very good. Belichick teams always, always are better in November and December than they are early on. I have a hard time seeing anyone in the AFC beating them. But I do honestly think there are 5 NFC teams that would have a good shot to beat them in the Super Bowl.
See no one in AFC at all Maybe US and the eagles have a shot but still slim, What have you learned since 2001?
I have learned that when you are going against the Pats you are playing against 12 or 13.He is that good !
