There have been several memorable games against the Cardinals. The best has to be the 1975 playoff in which Jack Youngblood returned an INT for a TD. In 1979, the Rams won 21-0 for one of three shutouts in that Super Bowl season. In 1984, Eric Dickerson ran 208 yards. In 1987, Charles White ran for 213 yards. I attended the 1986 game, which was the opener that season. It was an exciting game that went down to the wire. In 1985, the Rams won 46-14 to clinch the division championship. That has long been one of the missing Rams games that I have hoped will emerge some day. I have verified from different sources (including someone who worked at a major network) that the copy in the CBS archives is damaged. Part of the damaged copy was released, but probably the only hope of getting a good copy of that game would be if a private recording exists. This seems less and less likely as the years pass.
