The media are idiots. Tony Romo was asked why so many media people were saying and writing during the off season that Goff couldn't play, and he basically answered that it was because the media only know how to look at stats and can't formulate opinions based on watching a player's mechanics or paying attention to his decision making.
In short, the media possess no analytical skills. The unfortunate thing is that this can lead fans to the same bad thinking.
