Almost every post on the board is pointing to the disappointing performance by our Offense. While it is for good reason, since our O was not good except for the opening series that resulted in 7.
Our Def did not play well either in the second half. Yes, there were missed sacks that ended up being positive plays for the Vikes. Bad penalties on third downs allowed for drives to continue. The Vikes were backed up deep inside the 10 a few times and easily moved the ball. While you can't get the the qb on every series, you do have to play tighter coverage than what we saw Sunday. During training camp, I was very impressed with how tight our dbs were playing on almost every play. It seems they have gone away from that to protect from the big play. No turnovers, No sacks, No 3 n outs (that I can remember). Son of Bum needs to get these guys to stop the run, get pressure, and get off the field. That would help our O when it is struggles.
