L.A.Rams
They are led by Case Keenum. I don't care if he's having his best year, he's still Case Keenum. Case closed! The Vikings point differential is +52, compared to the Rams +134. The Jags are at +92, and I think they are a stronger team that the Vikings. Every game should get the Rams fired up because, with each win, they get closer to a playoff and possible first round bye, but there isn't anything special about this Vikings team.
Because its absent of context, like strength of schedule. Jax are a good defense but not as disciplined as the Vikings defense.
Vikings are solid against both the run and pass where the Jags have been one dimensional on defense.
I would not attepmt to draw any parrells there at all.
The Rams offense has not fared that well against top defenses so the angst surrounding this game is justified.
However I believe if the Rams play well upfront they'll put some points up on Minny.
The Jags have been one dimensional but despite that they've gotten better results.
Scoring D - Jax (1), Vikings (5)
Yards / Game - Jax (2), Vikings (5)
The Jags definitely have a top defense and to be honest the Rams didn't fare that well against them. The offense only scored 13 points. ST's scored 14.
Now let's compare the level of competition between the two.
As I said below, the Rams avg 32 ppg but have not faired well against top defenses.
That matters IMO because that's what we have coming up.
They will need to score more than 14ppg which is what they avg vs Wash, Seattle and Jax defenses to survive.
Best,
