Almost everybody said Goff was bad last year, which he was. But there were many who said its too early to call him a bust. I can name at least a dozen guys who said that in the media.
Mike Salfino, who writes for the WSJ and does the Breakfast Table Podcast with Scott Pianowski, is notoriously hard on players, did a great analysis on QB who had horrific rookie years and said Goff may still be very good.
IMO, the guys who jumped the gun and called Goff a bust, exposed themselves as hasty, sloppy and questionable evaluators.
