During the 2000 season we played the Chargers, who were a good team that year as well. Our horrible defense gave up a bunch of points to them, but we managed to top that. The game was fairly ridiculous when it came to scoring. It was during the NFL Primetime highlights of that game that Berman coined the nickname "Greatest Show on Earth."
Later that season an opponent modified it to "Turf." I want to say it was the Bucs and Warren Sapp who said it, but I could be wrong. It was originally an insult (as I said above). Unfortunately, that's the way everyone ended up remembering it, and the fact that it was an insult went down the memory hole.
