If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best.
At this time, nearly everyone we are likely to have to face in the playoffs is on our second half schedule. (Eagles, Vikings, Seahawks, Saints.) It is a really tough schedule, and we will lose a couple of those. Sadly, the Seahawks only have 2 tough games left on their schedule (Cowboys and Eagles.) Plus the Rams of course. If we want to win the division, the next game against Seattle is a true must win. If I had to guess at this time, I would say the Cowboys will be a Wild Card, with either Rams or Seahawks getting the last spot. OF course, we have already beaten the Cowboys.
But assuming we win enough to make the playoffs, this will be a tough, battle-scarred team with experience playing good teams. Nothing will be too big for us in the playoffs.
We have beaten up the little sisters of the poor. Time to bring on the competition, so we can beat them too.
On a side note, how common is it that one team will play every single playoff team from their conference during the regular season? That looks like a real possibility for the Rams this year.
