The Giants have earned their 1-6 record; it wasn't a series of accidents and unfortunate events. They are not a good football team this year.

The Rams have earned their 5-2 record: it wasn't a series of lucky bounces and fortunate events. The are (shockingly) a good football team this year.

It's been a long time since the Rams' playoff hopes are in their own hands.
They just have to continue taking care of business game by game AND continue to avoid the injury bug that has hit some teams really hard. Frankly, the Rams are due for a run of decent luck; so far so good. And while it was bad luck for the Texans and a sad deal for a good kid, the Rams have to be feeling a little more confident about playing Houston sans Watson.

If the Rams were to lose to the Giants, it will be because the Rams played poorly.
The Rams are the better team by any measure.
So this game is not going to be about game plan, scheme, or talent level. It'll be about being mentally prepared and coming out with focus, intensity and emotion.

Bill Parcells is right. But that doesn't mean you can't be flat or have a let down.
I'm not expecting that. The Rams are just too hungry to be winners, and McVay is too in tune with the players to let them be complacent or satisfied.
