Long passing is not as common as sometimes people think. Talking about anything over 21 yards in the air. To offer a couple of more comparisons, Ryan throws those on 10.2% of total attempts. Roethlisberger does it about the same as the Rams---13.1%.
So far the Rams are averaging around 4 a game. That's actually pretty good. Rams are 6th in the league at yards per attempt and that is part of it. (Though as I said lately they haven't been hitting them.)
From what I have seen this year combined with last year in Washington, McVay tends to have his teams throwing in the medium to deep medium ranges (11-30 yards) more than most.
