McVay isn't walking on water anymore huh. I'm not sure this game is going to be a good measuring stick imo. I wanted Shanny and that hasn't changed much.

Hasn't changed much???

I wanted Shanny too, but thank my lucky stars we got McVay instead.

Shanny hasn't won ONE game yet, meanwhile McVay is 3-2 leading second highest scoring offense in the league with a QB most left for dead last year.

Shanahan has Hoyer, an anemic running game, and a bottom 5 defense.

All Shanahan's record (so far) demonstrates in contrast to Goff's is the desirability of signing on with a team that already has a great deal of talent on hand.

...

Well, he can't blame anybody but himself for being stuck with Hoyer.....as he passed on DeSean Watson spin tounge smiley

Thank Godclap smiley

And what did McVay do about getting a #1 and #2 qb? cool smiley

...

Huh? McVay inherited a QB most left for dead, including a bunch of posters on this board and has him looking like a pro bowler 5 games in.

Point is, is that the Niners look like they screwed the pooch by passing on Watson so far and I couldn't be happierbeer cheer smiley

McVay inherited a qb many of us knew was a good one, as did he. #1 pick in the draft, based on talent...and a guy McVay had scouted for Washington (in a due diligence way) before the 2016 draft. I doubt he listened to the chattering media heads who wrote Goff off. I think he went on real info. He would certainly know the difference between having Goff and having Hoyer.

So he didn't have to find a qb.

Nor a defense.

Nor a running back, since he believed Gurley could be the guy of 2015.

Shanahan's not losing in SF, in other words, because he cannot coach.

....

Never said he couldn't coach, just pointing out that McVay seems to the leader in the club house right now as far as who'd most people would chose.... and it's not like that roster was much worse then the Rams considering they swept us last year....Rams had a much better offseason though that is for sure. Still glad they passed on Watson thoughspin tounge smiley

I like McVay obviously. But Shanahan is getting a lot of credit. People know he doesn;'t have anything. In spite of the record he still gets high marks.
