What this author misses is that the LA crowd hates the STL blue/gold color scheme. Otherwise, the article isn’t too bad.
I do wonder who is driving the train on the uniforms. I think Demoff is at the controls. And he’s made it fairly clear that he is partial to blue and white.
But there’s been a lot of push back from the fans in LA that they want the old blue and yellow of the throwbacks. Dickerson and others have been pushing hard for that.
Demoff has said that he recognizes that the fans want the blue and yellows and the Rams are listening. So does this mean they switch gears and go from their original plan of blue and white to blue and yellow? Who knows.
One thing is certain. What they’ve got now is absolutely horrendous, especially that monstrosity in Dallas. If they do this for another 2 years that would be gross mismanagement.
The Rams have done a pretty poor job in their efforts to garner a fan base in LA. They’ve only won 2 out of their 10 games there. And they only play 7 games in LA each year. They won’t play in LA for another month. And on top of all that the fans in LA have no idea what the Rams colors are. And the Rams FO expects fans to think of them as an LA team?
Credit Demoff for ending up with McVay. But everything else he’s done is a prettying bad.
