or maybe not. I voted neither... but that's because Goff was under duress and... I don't agree with the those on the board who thinks this was an easy, (or rather a VERY catchable) ball. It WAS catchable, one I think Kupp should have made, but I disagree that catches like that any where near routine OR.. well, I'll get to that.
Breaking it down. Kupp was about as wide open as you can get in the red zone... plenty of room to put the ball in Kupp's chest... but Goff was under extreme pressure.. in every possible way - down, clock, D pressure... I can't fault Goff at all, delivered a great ball - not perfect.
Kupp.. catchable ball.. but again, don't agree with the stress most here are putting on the word 'should' describing the catch. Understand it, however.. because I think it's coming from this: Great players come up with great plays in clutch time. And that's true... but it's far from ALWAYS true. I see receivers in the NFL drop balls like that every single weekend... and I'm including the 'elites'. Well, maybe not Julio Jones.
And of course I have to end this by saying, yet again... I'm amazed at how well the Ram's are playing this year, (even when they play BADLY). Being "Young" is not an excuse.. I agree somewhat, but it's still quite remarkable to have this many quite 'new' to the NFL guys.. and many of the rest coming together on the same team for first time... and ALL under a 30 year old rookie coach, playing this competitively. I also think everyone on the board agrees with me about that, (possibly a very few exceptions).
Big difference between being frustrated by a loss thinking "we SHOULD have won that game" and thinking, "Ah well, they aren't worth spit anyway".
