The was the build up to the game, because of the 17 losses in a row.
But the Rams are 4-2 against Seattle. So not quite the same vibe.
Plus in 99 the 9ers were a paper tiger. Starting with the Rams they lost 8 straight and wen 4-12 that year.
Ironically, before the Rams game in 99, the 9ers were 3-1.
Seattle I don;t think is a paper tiger. They may not quite be what they were but they are no paper tiger I think.
But yes the HYPE before that game, combined with the 17 straight losses, made it a looming thing.
I actually think this year's Rams team is so much "in the process" of becoming good that they could stumble against Seattle and still have a good year, or win handily against Seattle and still lose games after.
