A few years ago, if someone had offered a trade for Quinn, I would have said, heck no. He's a franchise DE, someone you build your D around. Someone who would give you incredible feats of athleticism on the way to frequent sacks, strip sacks, fumble recoveries, and surprisingly good against the run. He made me think of a thinner version of Deacon Jones. Not as strong or powerful, but someone who could launch himself and contort his way to the QB almost as often. During his 19 sack season, I was thinking, not only is he the best DE in football, he's the best
defensive player, period.
This game takes so much out of these players. It's tragic, really.
