I don't know what the 'number' of penalties is... or how the button works, exactly. I know 'critical' penalties definitely hasten the process.
So far this year that button has not gone off. That's a very good sign. And it's good for my health as well... because when it does go off I contort and flail about in a manner quite dangerous to myself and anyone within... oh.... several yards of me.
Unfortunately, Austins fumble set off my "I'VE HAD IT" Button... which is very similar to the affects my Penalty Button causes. - JamesJM
