I've watched so many games this year and I constantly have my eyes on the 25 yard line as returner after returner continue running balls out from 5-7+ yards deep...so very few make it beyond the 25.....and then you add in the invariable flag and (see Cooper) inherent risk for fumble and imo it's just no longer worth it. Roger wins. No need for KOR any longer....until more HC's adjust that teams staying in the EZ by kicking higher, shorter kickoffs and tackling guys even deeper in their own end of the field.
If I'm McVay, with how the O is humming I just want the ball fresh & clean at my 25. It's almost like he's trying to crest a roll for Cooper.
