Cowboys very much resemble the Seahawks to me. The obvious oline superiority aside, Dak is a chaos quarterback. He performs best outside the pocket, making tremendous spontaneous plays. They run the read option.
Keep Dak in the pocket. Rush conservatively, control your space. And I have not seen Dak succeed consistently throwing in 2nd and 3rd and long situations.
Elliot. Stopping the run is harder. The key to their run game--and I have not spent much time scouting them--is Frederick's ability to move and get leverage on the dt. Usually he does this with the dt on his outside shoulder, freeing the guard to block the backer. With Donald's quickness and leverage I would play him head up on Frederick and expect to win that matchup most of the time. The key is Donald moving in rhythm with the rest of the defense and not giving up a free gap.
Our offense will beat their defense significantly. Only need a turnover advantage and a few stops. Big, huge game. Ten days to rest and McVay prepare vs Linehan and the cowgurls on a short week....
