Nice job Case!

I agree.

It's kind of a Rams homecoming there since CK is starting for Bradford and their OC is Shurmur.

Anyway. what is the difference up there v. in St.Louis/LA?

Well in 2016 he had a sack percentage of 6.7% (it was 3.1% in 2015). Up there, so far, it's 2.8%.

In 2016 he had no running game. They have a running game in Minn. (10th in attempts, 11th in yards).

Even more than LA did, Minn takes advantage of his deep ball (CK defies the idea that the deep ball is predicated on arm strength).

None of which of course makes him a starting caliber qb--he's clearly a #2 caliber qb, though as I have said before, the best one the Rams have had in years. In more than a decade, in fact.

CK's big flaw with the Rams was that he could not come through at the end in close games or in comeback situations. Out of 26 career starts, he has 2 4th quarter comeback wins. Plus of course he needed the running game. IMO if you throw it all on CK to have an offense, you get the 2016 results---which was, basically, 4 wins out of 9 games.

His other big flaw is that he should have been a back-up. But Foles melted down and Goff was an especially green rookie.

What sold me on CK (without forgetting that he's a #2 caliber type) is how hard he worked to maximize himself. For example, he worked under the same qb guru Goff did this last off-season (forget the guy's name...House?) I wish him well. He had an unenviable task with the Rams, being the #2 to the 1st pick in the draft, and then having to play without a run game until the kid was ready. He drew a lot of fan heat cause qbs just do, yet handled it all with some class.
