Points given up per game by the team. There were some pick sixes given up by the offense and perhaps that is skewing the numbers a bit. But the defense was terrible through the first 6 or 7 games. IIRC

In the first half of the season, IF the defense was merely average, the Rams probably make the *cough* playoffs. But by the time the defense got on track the OL fell apart.
So compared to Wade's defense (and considering it is a bit different than the prior year) perhaps its just natural for the defense to be working out the kinks. Williams said he had to see what the strengths of his players were and it took him about 6 or 7 games to figure it out. Perhaps Wade needs some time too.
