they have the coaching and personnel to get it done

I'm fairly confident that the Rams will get the problems fixed. With extra days to make corrections after the Thursday game, they might start getting things smoothed out by the Cowboys game. From a personnel point of view, I would like to see them replace Austin and Cooper in the return game. Neither has been effective, and both have made costly errors. I would bet they could find a better KO returner than Cooper on the waiver wire (there are plenty of fast and elusive players looking for an opportunity), and he doesn't add anything to the passing game. I am really looking forward to the day when the Rams can afford to dump Austin. It was amazing when the Rams found a hidden gem in Tony Horne. Maybe there is another great KO returner on someone's practice squad. For a marginal player such as Cooper, it wouldn't be surprising if they were to cut him after nearly costing them the game.

These are weird times for the high-scoring Rams, who must clean up on defense
