No game is an acceptable loss...every week is "the BIG game" in the NFL.
And THAT is why we love it.
The NFL is not baseball(162 games?) or basketball(82 games?), etc....the NFL season isSudden Death...and that plays a huge part in why we watch..everygame matters!!!! Cept the Bloody Pre-Season crap that don't matter at all.
PLEASE, NFL...make games 18 reg season and 2 PS....make it matter even more!!! Hell, they play 20 games either way...make them matter and raise the PS squad or roster size to 65 to keep the quality up to help cover the breakdown & attrition of the human body..
by having guys already knowing what ther schemes are...and not just signing FAs to a team and playing them with 1 week in the scheme. I have NO idea why owners do not do this...besides the meoney, I guess. But even that would be offset by 2 more REAL Reg season games of the 18-game season...and also allowing more players to be groomed on the roster if the rosters were 65.
The owner's would get that money back and it would offset. imo
