bruised thigh

Back when I was 22 and seemingly indestructible, I got kneed in the thigh (dead center of the front of the thigh) while playing basketball. It was extremely painful and it took a while to heal. Even if one were to tough it out, it would be impossible to run at full speed with such an injury. So it is probably best to sit out until it heals. Depending on the severity, he could be ready this week, but he might be out for a game or two.
