Hard to imagine, but that is exactly the feel.

I dunno. Sounds to me like 20/20 hindsight mixed with a prejudice. Defense wins a close game against a superior team and that doesn't count. Defense loses a game against a weaker team but because the offense has improved, that means hope.

Personally, I will hope at that level when the defense gets better.

Meanwhile yes, the offense showed it had both some competitive spirit and viable weapons today, even though they also shot themselves in the foot.
