It was a lay up last week for sure. But they did what they should have done, they pounded a hapless team. It was imo the easiest money a smart gambler makes all year.
To your point 2016 was set up the same way but that Ram team wasn't near as good offensively AND that was a road game vs a fired up DIVISIONAL opponent. This was a home game vs a non discript out of conference team missing their all world QB. No comparison.
That said, this Ram team demolished the Colts, they didn't squeak by on a last second FG, and they didn't make Tolzein look like Joe Montana. Absent Donald the Rams did not make that a reason to ball up in to the fetal position and McVay did not bubble wrap Goff by reducing him to a few short, safe throws that would have made the game much tighter.
All in all week 1 was what a "good" team playing at home should have done. Now the fight in the dog gets bigger, and then next weeks first road game will be poo-poo'd as "only the 49ers" but I'm will promise you right now that game will be a VERY CLOSE WAR but more on that next week..for now I look forward to the skins an what I believe will be a 7-10 point victory. Will it? We shall see..
R.I.P. Nelson aka TonyHunter87 1971 - 2017 far too soon..
Your last words to me: "Your a great guy RFIP. I was very sad when you left the board, and your son, but was glad to see you back. Take care my friend, may God be by your side." 09/09/2017 12:58AM
No Nelson, you were a far better man than I, and I am sure an awesome husband and father as well. I will miss you my friend. -RFIP
