I agree. It's in their best interest to keep Luck on the sidelines and take a pounding this year. Dump Pagano and start over. They can either (1) keep Luck and go into 2018 with a top 3 or 4 pick- in a very QB rich draft- and have a lot of teams come calling for that pick. Or (2) trade Luck and have a top 3 pick plus whatever they get for him, plus future cap space to use. I think if they trade him they have something like a $19M cap hit but in the long run could still be worth it.
Win-win. Unless Luck comes to the 49ers or Cardinals...
