I love the guy but at the right price. I am not mad that he wants a new deal because if he gets injured he is done. But he is a specialty player, and yes he is the best in the business at what he does but this is when the Rams can get into cap hell. Quiz....name me one DL on the Patriots...wrong (Chris Long) was a stand up 3-4 LB. Name me one Patriot DL that makes over 10 million, not 20 but just 10. They are using DL as rotating players, there is a premium on edge rushers and corners.
I love AD but not at 20 mil. I would trade him for an established all pro young offensive lineman Tyrone Smith or the Raider's or the Raiders Kelechi Osemele. These guys are young and they are in their prime and they are locked up with team friendly contracts. You are not going to get 3 number 1's remember Jeff Fisher is the Fire Marshall in Montana, he does not coach football anymore. Mike Shannahan fired.
AD is a remarkable 4-3 DT, especially when Brockers is planting the center on his ass. Brockers is a stand alone player in the middle, he makes everybody better because he creates penetration and he takes up space. I think the next guy to get the hook in Wades D is Barron, Wade like inside linebackers that can move extremely fast.
