Only 3 Rams' RBs have totaled over 3,000 rushing yards in their first three NFL seasons. Gurley has 1,991 through two. With 1,009 more in 2017 he joins Dickerson (5,147), Jackson (3,247) and Bettis (3,091).
With 1,257 rushing yards this season he'd be 2nd to only Dickerson.
He can also leap into the Rams top 10 all-time in rushing (passing Cullen Bryant) with 1,129 yards. 1,306 yards would put him as high as 8th (above Younger and Tyler).
I hope we see a new Gurley this year. I like the odds of seeing that, but still...I just want to see it.
Last year, different folks said, it was the offense (Boras). It was the line. It was the passing game (which didn't drive defenders out of the box).
I think all those things are true to an extent.
But I think some of it was Gurley too.
And I think he can turn it around. So I just want to see if he WILL turn it around.
