I predicted that Orlavsky would be gone after preseason game 3.
But since they kept him it could ONLY have been to play game 4 and keep Goff and Mannion fully healthy. He'll be gone in the next 24 hours or so.
No doubt the Rams will be combing the waiver wire for a 3rd QB that will go on the PS. So a rookie or 2nd year guy. My gut tells me that McVay has his eye on
a couple of guys that might come from a similar system and pick things up a little quicker.
We can agree or disagree on his decision, but McVay was bound and determined to not have any starters or critical back-ups in harms way in what has become a joke of a 4th preseason game; basically the JV against the JV. He stuck to it and could care less how ugly it was.
So the Rams starters and critical back-ups are going to be as healthy and rested as possible. Good formula for winning? Or will the lack of playing time hurt them in the first 2 or 3 games?
