1967 was the year this ninth-grader started following The Horns!

.....but, holey-moley....that was half a century ago!!!

I still remember Donnie Anderson, the Packers left-footed punter getting hammered by Tony Guillory, Claude Crabbe scooping it up, and the Rams posse of Willie Daniel et al escorting Crabbe missed the plucky Donnie Anderson who had gotten up, circled around and knifed thru the posse to tackle Crabbe inside the 10 yard line. Gabe hit Bernie IPlayedFelixLeiterInTheMovies! Casey for the 5 yard TD pass and all we had to do was beat Johnny U and the undefeated Colts the next weekend to make the Playoffs.....no problem!

In those days, even though Los Ramos 1967 W-L record was 11-1-2 and Green Bay was 9-5, the Rams still had to play the Playoff Game on the Arctic Tundra of Lambeau Field.....the first of many sad MidWest cold weather playoff defeats for my beloved Rams.
