There seems to be a glut of veteran players on the trade block. I think it's due to the 90 man roster allowance right up until the "final" cut. I've seen a few intriguing names.
S T.J. Ward (the Broncos are in trade negotiations with an unknown team)
CB Joe Haden
OL Cam Irving
I know Ward has ties with Wade Phillips, and he would be an upgrade at the SS position. However, I don't have a problem with Mo Alexander.
Irving intrigues me because of his draft status coming out of college and his ability to play multiple positions. Of course one could make the argument that both of those things could be held against him: not living up to his potential and not being able to nail down a starting position.
I love CB's, and I would like to see Joe Haden lined up opposite Tru Johnson, but he's had recent injury issues (2 groin operations and held out a few games last year under the concussion protocol). He's also expensive ($11.1 M this year), and I don't even know if we can afford him.
Any thoughts?
