I definitely see a QB controversy coming, since Mannion has gotten the work, and has shown something, while Goff has either been coddled or been lackluster in 2 of three games.
He's preserving the starters. This game Goff did not play any more or less than Rivers did. (6 passes from Rivers to 8 from Goff).
The more Mannion played, especially since it was with back-up OLs, the more it showed that he's the #2 without any thought of making him something more.
