With TA's contract, don't see it happening, but never say never...

For months, there’s been some talk surrounding the Los Angeles Rams when it comes to the possibility of trading Tavon Austin, although most scenarios seemed unlikely due to his hefty contract. However, with Julian Edelman recently suffering a torn ACL on Friday, the Rams may want to reach out to the New England Patriots about a potential deal for the wideout since there’s a good chance the team is going to want to bring another wideout on board following the recent news.

Losing an important such as Edelman at this point in the preseason is beyond frustrating for the Patriots, and while they have plenty of options to choose from when it comes to other players stepping it up, exploring a possible trade isn’t the worst idea. Obviously, Austin’s level of impact comes nowhere close to Edelman’s, but that doesn’t mean New England shouldn’t at least consider the option.

In a way, a trade involving Austin going to the Patriots would seem like it could workout for both parties in multiple ways, especially the Rams since they’ve seemed to be going back and fourth about the possibility of parting ways for months. So without wasting anymore time, here are five reasons trading Austin to New England would be perfect for Los Angeles following the recent news of Edelman’s injury.
