I couldn't believe my ears. Evan Silva just blurted out some man love for Gerald Everett.
On Rotoworld podcast, Silva said Everett looks special. You don't see TEs move like that.
I think Snead must be breathing a huge sigh of relief right now. He may have nailed his first draft out from under Fisher.
Everett, Kupp, and Reynolds look like they belong in the NFL. And Snead did it without a first rounder.
If the Rams have drafted well it's the last 2 years, not just this year.
Now I think that in spite of Robinson they drafted well before. They have a percentage of hits that are up there in the "good" category, and they have positively nailed a couple of positions (DB for instance).
But starting last year they seem to have hit a new stride. For example look at how crazy deep they are at CB. Not that they're all stars, but there's a lot of solid depth there, and maybe a starter or 2 (like Jordan). So much so that they didn't draft a CB in a year that was deep at CB. That;'s of course not just drafting, it's UDFAs too.
From last year, Cooper and Higbee are in the conversation for sticking (though I personally don't like Higbee, not yet anyway). Forrest looked very good the other day. Thomas is in the conversation. Williams could be in the picture.
Also in the conversation from this year are Johnson, Ebukam, Smart, and (in a role player kinda way) Price. Rogers seems to have disappeared though I don't know what that means.
They could eventually end up with 4 or more starters from this draft. The candidates: Everett, Kupp, Johnson, Ebukam.
If you go back through Rams history the only times they ended up with 4 or more starters in a draft, it was with the benefit of a 1st round pick.
