Goff's performance last night didn't come out of 'no where'. He wasn't 'one thing' the day before yesterday and suddenly this 'new thing' last night. There WERE indications.. whether we picked up on them or not. And whereas I can excuse myself from missing the indicators, (I do not do this professionally, or even study as much as many on this board), the pro-media types should NOT have missed those clues as much as they DID. Many of those in the media didn't even leave themselves any 'wiggle' room.
Now without question Goff is going to have some bad days ahead... should be interesting to see how the media responds.
To me, it'll be more interesting to see how this board reacts.
Most important will be how Goff and his teammates react.
Last night - first two preseason game performances - guaranteed nothing, of course, but they were promising.
