Gurley has made his name on about 5 games.
Outside of those, he's been no better than an average NFL back.
I watched the game against Dallas in slo mo with Gurley, and I really question his vision that is supposed to be so great. If he doesn't have a nice lane, that's the end of the play. Not impressed.
But I will say this much: McVay seems to be impressed with him. And in the Dallas game there was always 7 in the box, regularly 8 and a couple of times 9. The Rams oline isn't good enough to deal with that.
This is why the Rams are going to have to pass the heck out of the ball. They have the playmakers. And their oline is better at pass blocking than run blocking (at least it is right now).
