Rodgers and Brady didn't start early because one had a HOF qb in front of him and the other had a more than capable qb in front of him.
We have NO idea if either qb's would have been ready prior to them getting their chance.
Rodgers is a horrible example to use in any scenario, he's just so physically gifted in arm talent he's a true outlier.
You cannot make a rationale comparison using him as an example, he's a once in a lifetime talent.
Qb's players at any position need to play to get better, but here is the thing that always helps me evaluate players.
Babies before they actually learn how to walk show signs that they're ready to begin the process.
Players do the same. Before they are ready to breakout they show glimpses of what will be once they get adjusted to the pro game.
I don't see much in Goff. I don't see supreme athleticism, arm talent or intangibles.
IF he possessed those characteristics I would give him a much greater chance of bucking the odds.
Unfortunately the NFL graveyard is littered with qb's from college Air Raid systems.
Obviously I hope I'm wrong!
Best,
Laram
