Clearly, we view Tavon's overall value differently, dz.
And I don't deny being miffed by that contract extension.
Let's see how Tavon's contributions develop this year.
I'm hoping for the best, but I'm not optimistic, frankly. I'm MUCH more bullish about Watkins, Woods, Kupp, and Reynolds.
By next January we should know much more about Tavon's Ram career trajectory.
Yeah we value him differently. No big deal...
I actually already knew that. The reason I even contributed at all is because you posed the question in a new light from a DC's perspective. In the spirit of your question, I was trying to come at with 'what do DC's value?' or by extension 'how do Rams coaches value him?'
I liked the idea of considering it from that angle and happened to remember some pertinent evidence that would add to that discussion.
I'm not entirely sure you considered that evidence but whatever...
What I'm wondering is, why so bullish on Woods? I get being bullish on the other three but Woods has been an underachiever himself the last four years.
I think that Woods will be a consistent and dependable WR. Not a Julio Jones, certainly, but a player that Goff can always depend upon to be where he's supposed to be when he's supposed to be there. A good blocker. Smart, experienced football savvy player. Good teammate, too. Woods suffered from being in that Bills O, but should blossom in McVay's.
Early camp reports have reinforced my opinions.
He should fit in quite nicely with Watkins and Kupp, I think.
